CyanoLakes has received R1m from the South African Water Research Commission’s Water Technologies Demonstration Programme (WADER) to pilot it’s technology in an operational environment with water utilities. Under the project, the technology will be piloted with three South African water utilities, including the City of Cape Town, Rand Water and Umgeni Water.

Each of the technology pilots includes a 12 month subscription including up to 5 waterbodies, high resolution imagery and a validation report comparing the piloter’s measurements with those from satellite. In addition new product features will be developed with the piloter’s input and feedback.
